We invite your students to participate in the annual Student Leaders
Conference (SLC).

The SLC highlights undergraduate research and connects students with
entrepreneurs, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and representatives of
Federal agencies funding research in emerging technologies. The SLC will be
co-located with the Tech Connect World Conference and Expo
(https://www.techconnectworld.com/World2021/) on October 18–20 (in person)
in Washington, DC. The registration is open and the deadline is July 23.

The SLC will include a Career Pathways panel, an Entrepreneurship panel, and
a poster session for students to present on their activities (research, club
projects, business ideas, etc). Could you please share this information with
student leaders interested in nanotechnology and other emerging technologies?

This event is part of the National Nanotechnology Initiative’s education
and outreach efforts. The National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO -
http://www.nano.gov/) helps to coordinate a growing network of student clubs
and organizations, called NextTech, which organizes this annual conference
for undergraduates. The NextTech Student Network focuses on nano and other
emerging technologies. It’s an informal network with no dues, just intended
to raise awareness of resources and help students build a network and access
opportunities for research and internships.
