The Guided Study Sessions program is now hiring Leaders for the Spring 2022
semester. Would you like to build your leadership and communication skills?

The UMD Guided Study Sessions (GSS) program provides academic support to
students enrolled in historically difficult courses through scheduled review
sessions led by peer Student Leaders. Each Student Leader is assigned to a
specific course section and instructor. The primary functions of GSS Student
Leaders are to attend all lectures for their assigned course; plan and
facilitate group study sessions on difficult course concepts; build
professional relationships with faculty, students and other GSS staff; assist
students in developing transferable learning and study skills; and support
GSS program implementation. The position involves around 8-10 hours of work
per week and is a part of the TLTC 310: Leadership in Collaborative Learning
Groups course.
