Learn how social entrepreneurship can bring lasting improvements to
people¹s lives. Gain unmatched work experience alongside some of the
world¹s most innovative development professionals while studying Spanish
and working with community activists to develop and support
micro-consignment businesses. Use your learning, energy, and insight to
help make lasting improvements in local communities. The course will begin
on the UMD campus with a two-week course on the principles of social
entrepreneurship followed by eight weeks of supervised field work in
Nicaragua.
