College Park


MOSQUITO CONTROL LAB TECHNICIAN:
Daytime positions, 
Duties: maintenance of traps for adult mosquitoes, sorting and
identification of collected specimens, record keeping; assistance with
special projects and reports. Minimum age 18, valid driver¹s license
required; w/fewer than 6 points. Background in ENTM, ZOOL or BIOL
required, ability to use taxonomic keys helpful. Dates: May-Sept., M-F
7:30am-4pm. Pay rate beginning at $11/hr.


MOSQUITO CONTROL FIELD TECHNICIAN:
Daytime positions, 
Duties: surveillance and control of larval and adult mosquitoes,
application of pesticides, record keeping, assistance with special
projects, some interaction with public. Involves extensive walking in
suburban and wooded areas. Minimum age 18, valid driver¹s license
required; w/ fewer than 6 points.  Prefer background in BIOL, ZOOL or ENTM
or previous experience. Dates: May-Sept., M-F, 7:30am-4pm. Pay rate
beginning at $11/hr.


MOSQUITO CONTROL TECHNICIAN:
Summer Night Position,
Duties: Survey and control work for adult mosquitoes. Min. age 18, valid
driver¹s license required, w/fewer than 6 points. One season experience in
pesticide application preferred. Dates: June-Sept., M-Thur., 8pm-12am. Pay
rate beginning at $11/hr.
