Join the University of Maryland Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education for
our 1st Annual Conference on Racial Identity Development to be held on March
27, 2014 from 12 noon - 7:30 p.m. on the campus of the University of
Maryland. Our inaugural theme is "Using Racial Identity Development for
Understanding Ourselves and Others."

This unique one-day conference offers an invaluable opportunity to explore
the multidimensional, evolving understanding of the human experience relative
to racial identity and the various racial identity models.  The conference
will allow participants the opportunity to increase their understanding of
various aspects of racial identity as a tool to support students, faculty and
staff as well as constructively address racial challenges and interactions in
institutions of higher education.

Featured presenters include racial identity pioneers, educators and
researchers Dr. William Cross, Dr. Barbara Love, Dr. Bernardo Ferdman, Dr.
Rita Hardiman and Dr. Perry Horse.

Undergraduate students, graduate students, staff and faculty at colleges and
universities are encouraged to attend.
