The English Department will be offering a minor in Professional Writing as
of Fall 2015.  The one required course for the minor, ENGL
297-Introduction to Professional Writing, will be offered for the first
time this fall.

As you can see from the website at
http://www.english.umd.edu/academics/undergraduate/minor-pw, the rest of
the minor is extremely flexible and can be tailored to meet the needs of
students in any major wishing to strengthen writing skills in their field.
