Description: The College of Education’s Graduate Student Organization will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting from 6pm to 8pm on November 18th to discuss the pertinence of the Black Lives Matter Movement within the study and praxis of education in the United States. The central question of the evening will be: what is education’s role in current civil rights movements like Black Lives Matter? The event will include: panel discussion on Black Lives Matter in relation to education, large group discussion to focus on the thoughts and perspectives of meeting attendees, and action planning with the group. Food and beverages will be provided and we encourage all students, faculty, staff, and the public to attend and participate in this important discussion.
