Our UMD director and the creator of the program from NCESSE will present your Mission! You’ll be part of Terps in Space, a program where students compete by writing experiment proposals to test the effect of microgravity on a phenomenon of their choice. The winning proposal is granted the program funding to FLY their experiment to THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION! Astronauts will interact with your mini-experiment as you instruct during the 4-6 weeks it is in low orbit and then it will return to Earth for further analysis and conclusions you make.
