Subject: iGEM 2021 - interdisciplinary research team Description: Are you interested in being part of an interdisciplinary research team and conducting synthetic biology research of your own design alongside other undergraduates? Do you have laboratory, programming, graphic design, business, art, modeling, or networking skills you’d like to put to good use on addressing an important societal problem? Apply to be a part of UMaryland iGEM, UMD’s award-winning, student-led research team that uses genetic engineering and synthetic biology to address real-world problems, and compete annually against hundreds of teams from around the world! Interested students and team members are encouraged to take a two-credit seminar in this spring, BSCI 338F, and contribute to the team’s research and outreach efforts over the summer. In the fall the team will present its project and findings at the iGEM Jamboree, an international competition, this year in Paris (COVID-19 permitting)! Sign up for the course and/or apply to be part of the UMaryland iGEM team by completing this google form.
