Description:

The BLAST AI Research Program (LLC) is a summer research program that
focuses on making AI and machine learning research more accessible for
talented high school students. The program consists of a two week bootcamp
that teaches students all of the essentials of machine learning and data
science, and then the remaining six weeks will consist of the students
working on a novel AI research project supervised by a mentor. For this
upcoming summer 2023, we are looking for UMD students who may be interested
in a part-time mentor/principal investigator role.

The commitment for the role will be approximately roughly 8 hours per week,
and will provide you with valuable experience mentoring students and
guiding them through the process of conducting and publishing advanced AI
research. Aside from competitive pay and flexibility, we pride ourselves in
unique benefits like getting papers published and furthering substantial
research. Many of our research groups last summer ended up beating state of
the art algorithms in their fields, and presented at and got published in
IEEE conferences.

If you would like to learn more about us and what we accomplished this past
summer, feel free to check out our website at https://www.blastai.org/. If
you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out the mentor interest
form which can be found on the "Mentor Hiring" page of the website.

We look forward to hearing from you!
