The project will focus on the theoretical development of NCO tracking, a methodology developed by the LA that converts a dynamic optimization problem with both path and terminal constraints into a feedback control problem. Applicants should have a strong background in automatic control and optimization. The position is available immediately, but a start within 3-6 months is acceptable. The Automatic Control Laboratory is a multidisciplinary teaching and research unit that includes 2 professors, 1 senior lecturer, 4 research associates, about 15 doctoral candidates as well as technical and administrative supporting staff. Research and computing facilities are of the highest standard.
