Process Engineer and PostDoc opportunities

iLS Inc. has immediate openings for a process control engineer with 2
years or more industrial experience and a Post Doc with background in chemical
or electrical engineering. The candidates will work in a small engineering team
on design, installation and customization of adaptive and self-optimization MPC
(model predictive controller) in the chemical, petro-chemical, power generation
and water treatment industries. The process engineer will work on design,
implementation and beta testing of a single input single output adaptive
controller with adaptive feedforward. The Post Doc will be working at
The successful candidates will have some or most of the following
qualities:
¨ Process
control Engineering experience preferably in the Chemical /Power Generation
industries
¨ Excellent
programming skills (C/C++/Matlab)
¨ BS/MS/PhD
in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
¨ Willingness
to work with customers and travel to client sites (Travel up to 25%)
¨ Theoretical
and/or practical experience in working with system identification, predictive
and or nonlinear control
¨ Ability
to work in small teams including CMU students and iLS engineers with diverse
backgrounds
¨ Willingness
to work under severe time & resource constraints

products. We have beta sites planned at a major chemical company and in large
scale power plants. The successful applicants will take part in these
developments by working on product development, implementation and design of a
new suite of products suitable for adaptive control and real time optimization
of complex single and multi-product plant complexes.
