Call for papers - Emerging Cyberinfrastructure Capabilities and Opportunities

American Institute of Chemical Engineers 2007 Annual Meeting

November 4 -9, 2007
Salt Palace Convention Center
Salt Lake City, Utah

Sponsored by Computing and Systems Technology Division (CAST)

Area 10(e): Information Technology

The session concentrates on chemical engineering and the emerging ‘scientific enterprise’ where science, computation and information technology are integrated. It is about the build out of IT infrastructure,i.e. the cyberinfrastructure, and the innovative application of that infrastructure as a necessary means of doing research and development in frontier technologies. Cyber infrastructure provides the vehicle for external and internal exchange and contribution and plays a vital role in the business of conducting research. Papers about local, regional, national and international activities or case studies in companies, universities, institutes, foundations, and government are all welcome. A series of in-depth presentations will be followed by a round table discussion to further explore this topic with everyone in attendance.

Proposals to present at this session may be submitted electronically visiting http://www.aiche.org/Conferences/CallForPapers.aspx.

Alternatively, abstracts may be submitted directly to the session chair:
