Improving the Quality of Education for All:
  Quality Indicators for
  Students, Schools, and School Systems

  Dear Colette,

Please join SID-Washington’s Education for Development Workgroup as we discuss performance indicators under Education For All (EFA) through two workshops. The first workshop will be held on:
  Date: Thursday, May 1st, 2008
  Time: 12:00 to 2:00 pm
  Venue: RTI International
  Address: 701 13th Street, N.W., Suite 750
  Washington, DC 20005-3967

Topic: The focus on monitoring and evaluation for learning outcomes under EFA has led to a new demand for quality indicators at the primary school level. Two two-hour workshops will introduce participants to some of these quality indicators and will provide an opportunity to discuss their application in their own settings. The first hour of each workshop will feature a panel of experts, each describing a different indicator. During the second hour, workshop participants can join small group discussion about the application of each indicator.
