The international conference on the Computer-Aided Process Design
(FOCAPD) is the premier meeting focusing on the fundamentals and
applications of computer-aided design for the process industries. Held
every five years, FOCAPD 2009 will be the seventh in this series.
The key theme for the conference will be “Design for Energy and the
Environment”. The conference will feature a one-day pre-conference
workshop, key note address and six plenary presentations, invited
presentations and an open poster session. The conference will structured
to engage all participants in sessions and discussions envisioning the
future directions, challenges and opportunities for the computer-aided
process design field. Break-out groups, panels and social events will be
used a vehicles to achieve this conference objective.
Efforts will be made to have a good mix of industrial participants
(operating companies, engineering firms, consulting offices, etc.),
faculty, students, and government representatives.
