I am writing to inform you about a few practicum opportunities at the
NMAH Archives Center.

As director of the NMAH-AC, I have a variety of projects for which I
need information on an ongoing basis. Currently I am working on two
projects that could easily work as a 50 hour practicum.

One, a public program concerning the conservation of family
photographic records, requires research into the feasibility of
presenting this program at senior centers/facilities in the Washington
metropolitan area.

Another requires researching models of successful jazz intern programs
that have been funded through federal agencies, foundations, or
corporate entities.

And for the intern that would like practical, hands on experience, I
have a collection of oral history abstracts that need to be checked
for accuracy of information and format.

I would appreciate it if you would share this information with others
that may not yet have found practicum opportunities. If any of these
sound as if they might be of interest to you or one of your peers, I
will be glad to share further details.

Thanks much for your interest in the Archives Center programs.
