DCCC seeks a forward-thinking librarian with an instructional background and strong outreach skills to assist in the development of our information literacy program and participate in library information services. Duties include general and specialized reference/research assistance, individual and group instruction, developing instructional tools, designing advanced information resources, and assisting patrons in use of print and electronic resources. The Librarian will assist in leading a team to create instructional materials, manage and conduct assessment and evaluation of both the program and student skills, and promote information literacy initiatives with librarians and teaching faculty. RequirementsThis position requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution. Candidates must possess advanced technology skills related to library science; excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively with a diverse body of students, faculty, and staff; and the ability to assist students in group and individual settings. At least one year of experience teaching information literacy is necessary. Program development and recent experience working in a two-year academic institution library are highly desirable.
