CALL FOR PAPERS - IEEE Transactions on Industrial
Informatics
Special Section on: “Industrial Control”
This special
section will focus on the critical issues in industrial control. At
the tool and
process level, there are new methods and capabilities required to
effectively
use process and product measurements to impart control.
Industrial
control addresses the use of sensors, metrology, and algorithms to
monitor
equipment, processes and products to provide actionable
information
for maintenance and control. The successful application of
industrial
control draws from the domain expertise of multiple disciplines
that are
typically responsible for delivering separate elements of the
complete
solution such as IT/Factory Automation, Process Technology,
Control
Engineering, Yield Management, Metrology, etc.
Topics of Special Interest include but are not limited to
•
Process Control
•
Equipment Control
•
Intelligent Control
•
Supervisory Control
•
Industrial Control Implementation
•
Discrete and Continuous Automation System
•
Equipment and Process Monitoring
•
Fault Detection and Classification
•
Process Modelling and Optimization
Submissions
to this Special Section must represent original material that
have been
neither submitted to, nor published in, any other journal. Extended
versions of
papers previously published in conference proceedings, digests
or preprints
may be eligible for consideration, provided that the authors
inform the
Special Guest Editors at the time of submission.
All
contributions must focus on industrial control.
Manuscript preparation and submission: Follow the guidelines in
“Information
for Authors” in http://ieee-ies.org/tii/
Submit using
Manuscript Central only http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tii
Paper submission deadline: December 31, 2008
Expected publication date: December 2009 (tentative)
Note: The
recommended papers for the section are subject to final approval
by the
Editor-in-Chief. Some papers may be published outside the special
section, at his discretion.
