If you are interested in health or medical librarianship and live in the DC area, you might want to consider joining the DC Area Health Science Librarians (DCAHSL). The following announcement includes membership information.
Elizabeth Norton

Happy New Year Everyone!
Now that the holidays are over, it's that time of year again to think about membership with the DC Area Health Sciences Libraries. Or maybe fulfilling that New Years resolution to participate in your local professional association by joining for the first time!

The membership form is available on the DCAHSL web site in PDF format. The link is: http://www8.georgetown.edu/dml/dcahsl/join/Applicationform2008.PDF. It is pretty much self-explanatory. You can mail it back to me (Debra Scarborough). If you know of another health sciences librarian who is not a member, be sure to mention DCAHSL to them, maybe even give them a copy of the membership form.

If we haven't seen you for awhile, I hope this is the year your schedule allows you to attend our meetings. If you are new to the group, I hope you can make time in your schedule to join us. Be sure to check out the DCAHSL website at http://www8.georgetown.edu/dml/dcahsl/index.html to read what we've been up to!
