Cisco Junior College is accepting applications for the position of Abilene Center
Librarian/Electronic Resources Librarian. The primary responsibilities of the position include
developing, maintaining, selecting and analyzing usage of the library databases, webpage,
electronic reserves and intranet site, managing the Abilene Educational Center Library (AEC
Library) staff and providing bibliographic instruction at the AEC. The Librarian will be asked to
work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings and weekends. Minimum salary will
be $39,091 per year. Minimum Qualifications: Master of Library Science degree from an ALAaccredited
institution, proficiency in library computer applications, HTML and online research,
well-developed reference skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community college or academic library and active
participation in relevant professional activities and organizations.
