Colby-Sawyer College is seeking a Systems librarian whose main
responsibilities will be to coordinate and oversee all daily
operations associated with the Horizon ILS, including system
administrator functions, backup/restore and upgrade procedures; work
on transitioning to the next generation of ILS; gather statistics and
work on assessment activities and annual external surveys as needed
using a variety of Microsoft software as well as Crystal Report
Writer; edit and maintain library website; administer LibGuides; share
in collection development responsibilities and administration of
electronic resources, including databases and e-journals, and their
integration with learning management system (LMS); stay current  and
educate staff on emerging library technologies; provide backup
coverage for cataloging functions; work with the cataloger to resolve
issues of catalog maintenance and upkeep; work with the college
archivist on the continued maintenance and development of Haystack,
the College's digital library; work with the IR Helpdesk as needed,
especially for library and LMS technology issues; and provide backup
coverage when necessary; serve as technology specialist in support of
the library staff and patrons

QUALIFICATIONS

 *   MLS or MLIS degree from an accredited program with systems course work
 *   Experience with Integrated Library Systems and other library
technology applications
 *   Knowledge of XHTML, XML, CSS, and PHP/MySQL
 *   Strong reading, writing, and math skills, Demonstrated analytical skills
 *   Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as
excellent customer service skills
 *   Ability to meet physical demands of office environment; extensive
computer use required
