URS Corporation is seeking a Sr. Research Engineer for Modeling and Simulation of Advanced Energy Systems and a Sr. Research Engineer for Dynamics and Control of Advanced Energy Systems to be based in our Morgantown, WV office. Education: A PhD degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. These positions are open to both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals Modeling and Simulation of Advanced Energy Systems Qualifications: At least 5 years experience in the application of process modeling and simulation software and/or CFD Working knowledge of Aspen Plus and/or a similar steady-state process simulator is required Experience with FLUENT or similar CFD packages is desirable Familiarity with the process industry CAPR-OPEN software standard for model integration is a plus Some C or C++ programming experience is also desirable Dynamics and Control of Advanced Energy Systems Qualifications: A working knowledge of dynamic process simulation and advanced process control, including model predictive control, is required Previous experience with Aspen Plus Dynamics, Dynsim, Matlab/Simulink software is desirable Experience with modern software development languages such as C++, Fortran, and/or Visual Basic experience would also be beneficial To Apply: Please visit our website www.urscorp.com <http://www.urscorp.com/> and visit the career page.
