Hi! My name is Lisa Kurdyla and I’m the reviews editor at VOYA Magazine. We are located in Bowie, MD. I currently have an opening for an assistant. The position is 15 hours a week, negotiable hourly pay, negotiable hours and days, and a very unique home office working environment. The work involves all aspects of publishing a review magazine, from receiving shipments from publishers to assisting in data management to choosing books for reviews. There is opportunity to learn the publishing and young adult literature industries.
Qualifications include basic understanding of genres, young adult literature, data management and very good organizational skills. In addition, the person who is hired must be able to work in a home environment while maintaining a professional attitude toward the position.
