The Prince George's County Memorial Library System seeks a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic branch manager with demonstrated interest in working with technology and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups. The successful candidate will develop and oversee new, innovative and community-responsive programs for the customers of the Hillcrest Heights Branch in Temple Hills, Maryland.

The Library System will pilot an exciting service model at the Hillcrest Heights Branch to bridge the information needs of the community with technology. Following renovations to expand computer access and enhance its appearance, the Branch will emphasize early literacy, workforce development, after school homework help and teen engagement. The Hillcrest Heights Branch will house a carefully selected collection of children’s and popular materials, 65 public PCs, early literacy stations, enhanced study rooms and offer increased capacity for community partnerships.

Position Title: Librarian/Branch Manager I

Location: Hillcrest Heights Branch, 2398 Iverson Street, Temple Hills, Maryland

Hours: Full Time (40 hours/week).  All schedules include a combination of daytime, evening and Saturday hours.

Salary: $47,069 to $50,363 DOQ and a generous benefits package.
