The University of Maryland's American Library Association's student chapter is hosting an event on October 21st about Youth and Intellectual Freedom.  Librarians will share their experiences working with children and young adults and its intersection with issues of information access, intellectual freedom, challenges to materials, and censorship of materials.

Pizza and drinks will be provided!  Feel free to drop in on the discussion before or after your Thursday classes.  

The panelists are: Dr. Carrie Garner, Department of Library Science and Information Technology, Kuztown University and San Jose University professor, Micki Freeny, D.C. Public Library Coordinator of Children and Youth Services, and Jennifer Rothschild, Youth Services Library Associate from Prince George's County Memorial Library.
