Colleagues ...

I am currently an intern at the Maryland Institute for Technology in the
Humanities through the IMLS Digital Humanities Model Internship program. I'd
be very interested in meeting other students at the iSchool who might be
interested in participating in an informal Digital Humanities/Scholarship
reading group. Please contact me off list should you be inclined to join
this reading group. I know that we are all busy but I think making time to
devote to discussion and reading of literature in Digital
Humanities/Scholarship might supplement our education at the iSchool.

I just started reading Matthew Kirschenbaum's *Mechanisms* and would like to
propose it as the first book for the group to discuss.

Again contact me off list should you be interested. Thanks so much.

James

“[T]he tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy
lies in having no goal to reach. It isn't a calamity to die with dreams
unfulfilled, but it is a calamity not to dream.... It is not a disgrace not
to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for. Not
failure, but low aim is sin."
