Multiple positions are available for design and development of catalytic distillation processes with applications to the production of biofuels and chemicals. Several projects, sponsored by US Department of Energy SBIR awards, are under development in collaborative work between KSE, Inc. and the University of Massachusetts. The projects involve conceptual design, cost estimation, optimization, catalyst development and testing, equipment fabrication and experimental demonstration of the designs. Both organizations are located in Amherst Massachusetts, USA approximately 2 hours from Boston and 3 hours from New York. The following positions are available immediately. • PhD Chemical Engineer with background and interests in conceptual design and optimization of reaction-separation systems, especially reactive distillation. Successful candidates should be within 4 years of earning the PhD in chemical engineering. Appointment as either a Postdoc or Senior Postdoc at a salary commensurate with experience.
