Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation. When you make a blood donation, you join a very select group. Currently only 3 out of every 100 people in America donate blood. The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at the University of Maryland Stamp Student Union in the Atrium from 9am to 3pm on FRIDAY April 29th! The Sponsor Code for this drive is *13160*. Walk in donations are also always welcome! A great way to get the UMD community involved in blood drives is to have student groups help sponsor the drives.
