NOTICE OF AVAILABLE POSITION
We are currently seeking to fill a teaching position in the Department of Sciences for the 2011-2012 academic year (late August 2011-June 2012). Candidates should possess at least a BS degree in either Biology or Chemistry. Candidates should be qualified to teach a combination of Introductory Biology and Introductory Chemistry courses on the high school level (grades 9-11). A Maryland teaching certificate is not required, but candidates should demonstrate a commitment to developing teaching skills that promote a strong academic environment for students in the classroom. Candidates will be expected to implement a laboratory based curriculum to meet instructional objectives.
The school is private/parochial institution, with an all male student body of approximately 950. A college preparatory curriculum is emphasized. Newly renovated laboratory facilities are expected for the 2011-2012 academic year. The school is located in Prince Georges' County Maryland, near the University of Maryland, College Park.
