LAC Group seeks candidates for Supervisory/Solo Information Architect II in Washington, DC to work at the library of a large, well-known federal agency. The Information Architect’s responsibilities include serving as the administrative head of the unit and supervising on-site staff. This position is subject to award

 

Responsibilities:

• Use technical skills in designing, creating, evaluating, maintaining and inputting information into data management systems and/or Web pages
• Serve as administrative head of the unit
• Direct the implementation of goals, policies, and procedures
• Responsible for selecting, supervising and evaluating on-site professional and technical contractor staff
• Prepare or supervise preparation of reports and outreach materials
• Monitor and evaluate developments related to information architecture
• Provide support in reviewing and identifying resource requirements

 

 

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library/Information Science, Information Management or Computer Science
• Three (3) years experience in development, evaluation and maintenance in software or Web-based programs with direct application to the library or information disseminating setting with two (2) years administrative and supervisory responsibilities
