Postdoctoral position: Fault-Tolerant Model Predictive Control A postdoctoral fellow is needed for the development of algorithms that integrate model predictive control and fault detection and diagnostic systems, for the design of fault-tolerant control systems. The algorithms will be evaluated in a realistic simulation case study for a refining process with a wide variety of fault scenarios, process disturbances, actuator and state constraints, and model uncertainties. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in chemical, mechanical, control, or electrical engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong background in model predictive control and an interest in learning methods for the design of integrated fault diagnosis systems. Applications should email a CV, a statement of professional interests, and the names and emails of at least three technical references to: Prof. Richard D.
