Dear Colleagues, In the past, the AIChE CAST Division has been the Technical Sponsor of the Foundations of Computer Aided Process Design (FOCAPD) Conference Series. Traditionally, the conference chair(s) has been selected by CAST 10A (Systems and Process Design). Most recently, Professors El-Halwagi and Linninger chaired the 2009 FOCAPD meeting in Breckenridge, CO. If the CAST Division wants to maintain the usual 5-year cycle, then Area 10A will need to identify the conference chairs no later than January 2012. This message serves to solicit interest and/or nominations for chairing and organizing the 2014 FOCAPD meeting. Any initial nominees and interested parties will be discussed during the 2011 CAST 10A Programming Meeting in Minneapolis (scheduled for Tuesday October 18 at 6:00 PM in Room 102A at the Convention Center). Please submit expressions of interest and/or nominations (including nominating yourself) to me by email as soon as possible and encourage your nominee to attend the CAST 10A Programming Meeting described above.
