Postdoctoral Associate Position in Modeling and Optimization of Biologic-based Processes is available immediately at the Department of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Research tasks involve the integrated modeling, control and optimization of a biotechnology process for the manufacture of biologics. Experimental design and validation will also be an integral part of the process. There will also be opportunity to participate in other collaborative projects. Candidates should hold a PhD in chemical or biochemical engineering by the time of appointment. A strong background in mathematical modeling and optimization of chemical/biochemical/pharmaceutical processes, and use of process modeling software (e.g. Aspen, gPROMS) is preferred. Excellent communication skills are required. Initial appointment will be for one year, and is renewable. The postdoctoral associate will be advised by Prof. Mauricio Futran in close cooperation with Prof. Rohit Ramachandran and Prof. Marianthi Ierapetritou.
