Maryland’s iSchool to Host Doctoral Research Day on February 24
College Park, MD (February 17, 2012)—The University of Maryland College of Information Studies, Maryland’s iSchool, will host its second annual Doctoral Research Day on Friday, February 24, from 2-5 pm. This event will be held in Room 2116, as well as surrounding research and lab space on the second floor of the South Wing of the Hornbake Building.
Please join us to learn about and celebrate the excellent interdisciplinary research of the students enrolled in our Ph.D. in Information Studies program. Students will present their research through posters as well as a series of mini-talks by doctoral candidates. Confirmed presentations include “Multilingual Communication on Twitter” and “Values in the Net Neutrality Debate”
Posters and mini-talks will be held from 2-4 pm, followed by an Awards Ceremony and Celebration of iSchool Doctoral Student Research from 4-5 pm. Refreshments will be provided.
