Research Assistantship The Judgment and Decision Making Lab in the Department of Psychology has a paid opening for an undergraduate or master's student who has experience with Matlab and at least one object-oriented system such as Visual Basic or Java. Primary responsibilities include programming online experiments as well as statistical and computational models of human behavior. Hours, 30-40 in the summer and 10/week in the academic year, are flexible. We are looking for someone with: ˇ Some experience with optimization functions in Matlab, ˇ Some experience writing programs that interact with users in Java or Visual Basic, ˇ Some experience with HTML/Javascript/SQL ˇ If not the qualifications above, then other experience with Matlab and Java or Visual Basic and an interest in gaining the experience described, ˇ Completed some college-level coursework in mathematics and/or statistics beyond the introductory 200-level courses, and ˇ Interest in behavioral, cognitive or decision science.
