The National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center on Structured Organic Particulates (NSF ERC-SOPs) has an opening for the position of postdoctoral associate.

C-SOPs is a multi-university research center headquartered at Rutgers University with Purdue University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez as core partners. The center's research mission is to develop a scientific foundation for optimal design of structured organic composites and develop science; and engineering methods for designing, scaling, optimizing and controlling relevant pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

We seek highly motivated individuals with a solid scientific background in the following areas of process control, process analytical technologies (PAT) (e.g. Raman, near-IR) and control hardware (e.g. Delta-V). Successful candidates should be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills and be able to work in collaborative projects. These abilities should be clearly demonstrated in the applicant's CV. The research activities are a hybrid of fundamental, academic research and applied industrial investigations with strong support from federal, state and industrial sources.

This position is joint between the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Rutgers University with primary appointment based in NJIT.  The candidate will be advised by Prof. Rajesh Dave (NJIT) and Prof. Rohit Ramachandran (Rutgers).
