Student Assistant for the Graphics Office of the University of Maryland Libraries
The assistant will work closely with the Libraries' graphic designer on our communications initiatives. This may include work in:
• publication design and illustration;
• still and motion graphics for the web, computer screen savers, and library information screens;
• exhibition design;
• navigational signage design and production; and
• any other projects that come through our office.
Required skills:
• Experience with Adobe Creative Studio (primarily Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office suite (primarily
PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
• A steady hand for cutting and trimming
Additional desired skills:
• Familiarity with iMovie, Final Cut and/or other video or audio editing software, still and video cameras, drymount press and other
production equipment
