Postdoctoral Position in Systems Engineering: Design of an Intelligent Material A postdoctoral position is available at Georgia Tech, supported by a complex systems grant from the McDonnell Foundation: http://www.jsmf.org/grants/2011020/ Applicants are sought who bring expertise in areas including systems engineering, molecular simulation, and chemistry, and who are interested in working in a highly interdisciplinary environment. The postdoc will work closely with Professor Martha Grover in the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering: http://www.chbe.gatech.edu/grover, and also with David Lynn at Emory University: http://www.chemistry.emory.edu/faculty/lynn/ The postdoc will also interact broadly within the NSF/NASA Center for Chemical Evolution: http://www.centerforchemicalevolution.com/ The project will focus on system-level design of a peptide reaction network that can learn based on its history. Activities will include molecular simulation, model reduction, and optimization. Expertise and experimental data generated within the team will be used for model building and model validation. Those interested should send a CV to Martha Grover at [log in to unmask] The position is available immediately.
