---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Julia Adler-Milstein <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Date: Tue, Feb 18, 2014 at 9:14 PM Subject: May be of interest... health design To: UMSI All Open <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> [cid:[log in to unmask]] This Valentine's Day, we are excited to announce the launch of #healthdesigncupid http://www.healthdesigncupid.us/ What is http://www.healthdesigncupid.us/ ? It's really hard for individuals who work in the healthcare setting to find partners with talents in design, illustration, and web and mobile application design, and vice versa. We need good design for good health, so #healthdesigncupid is a webpage that can connect the two communities. We also just wanted a web prototype to launch on Valentine's day. Does the #healthdesigncupid really exist? Actually the #healthdesigncupid is just a series of google spreadsheets that can give you a list of people with complementary interests. #healthdesigncupid gives you a list of potential partners to contact, but you have to do the legwork and make the connection. What can we say? A good relationship takes time and effort. What might come out of http://www.healthdesigncupid.us/ ? Some examples of successful matchmaking may include: a health partner hiring a student with design and development skills, or a faculty member in the medical school connecting with a faculty member in the School of Art and Design to develop a formal or informal collaboration. We included filters so you can sort by institution and rank. How does #healthdesigncupid work? It's as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4. 1. Visit our website, http://www.healthdesigncupid.us/ 2. Click on the sign up link depending on if you are a health partner or designer/developer.** 3. Get access to the health partner and/or designer lists. Don't be shy even if there aren't many names there. The more people that sign up, the greater the chances of a match! 4. Reach out to a person who might complement your talents. That's when the arrow of #healthdesigncupid may strike! **Site Disclaimer: If you use Internet Explorer and the links are not functioning well, then please use Firefox or Chrome as your browser.
