STUDENTS IN SCIENCE, MATH, ENGINEERING, SOCIAL OR BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES PROGRAMS The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship is the largest (2000 awards annually) and one of the most prestigious awards for graduate study in science, math, engineering, and social/behavioral sciences. The NSF award provides three years of support, with an annual stipend of $32,000. To be eligible you must be a US citizen or permanent resident, and you must have fewer than 2 completed years of graduate study in most cases.
