BR&E is currently seeking candidates to fill “Development Engineer” positions at our company headquarters in Bryan, Texas. Location: Bryan, TX Degree Required: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering Responsibilities: 1. Participate in the design, development and maintenance of BR&E software, particularly the ProMax® process simulator 2. Develop and refine modeling and numerical tools for new simulation features 3. Develop and test applications for BR&E software 4. Integrate various software components with one another (e.g. GUI) 5. Draft and review technical documentation Skills Required: 1. Solid background in chemical engineering principles, particularly thermodynamics,transport phenomena, kinetics and mathematics 2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 3. Knowledge of and experience programming with C, C++ and/or Visual Basic 4. Strong interpersonal skills 5. Capacity to tackle multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision Skills Preferred: 1. Familiarity with Microsoft development tools and methodologies including Visual Studio.Net and the Win32 Platform SDK 2. Knowledge and experience in programming with MFC, Visual Basic and COM 3.
