Dear colleagues, happy new year.
A 3-year full-time PhD fellowship in the area of Subsea Process Systems Engineering is available at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
The position is related to a larger activity in subsea oil and gas processing at the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTNU. To strengthen these activities, we are looking for a motivated, balanced PhD student who can think creatively and critically, and who can work independently and consistently on a research project.
In particular, the PhD candidate will be involved in developing methods for optimizing operation of modern subsea oil and gas processing systems. Possible research topics range from developing subsea process models for modern optimization software to the study of numerical optimization algorithms that may be applied for optimizing subsea process operations and state estimation. For further inquiries about the position contact Associate Professor Johannes Jäschke, (+47) 73 59 36 91, e-mail: [log in to unmask].
Application deadline: 18. January 2015.
