Subject: Introducing INNOVATE4HEALTH, a technology design competition Description: MdBio Foundation is partnering with leading health information technology companies and the University of Maryland’s Center for Health Information and Decision Systems, Smith School of Business to challenge high school and college students to design an innovative solution to a current healthcare challenge. We can achieve a healthier world through more effective use of information and technology. In Maryland, health-related public budget spending accounts for over 25 percent of all state expenses. Innovations in health technologies, systems and processes can save lives, promote healthier communities and significantly increase our quality of life.
