Subject: Urban Conservation and Education Internship Program

Description:
The Urban Conservation and Education Internship is a work-study program in
partnership with the National Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service,
Living Classrooms Foundation and the Maryland Port Administration.  This
internship not only promotes career development and connects those interested
to career opportunities within the conservation sector but it also helps
foster a sense of environmental stewardship.

What
Interns will learn about the importance of conservation throughout the
Chesapeake Bay region by working with staff from the National Aquarium, U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service and Living Classrooms Foundation.  Over the course
of the program, the interns will participate in habitat restoration projects,
assist in the monitoring of wildlife populations and engage diverse audiences
in hands-on environmental education programs.  Students selected for the
internship will receive a stipend.

When
This eight-week internship will take place from June 1 to July 24, 2015.

Who
Any undergraduate student, with Sophomore or Junior standing, from the
Baltimore area can apply.  This is an interdisciplinary program and students
of all majors are encouraged to apply.
