In honor of Throwback Thursday, thought you all might enjoy this blast from the past. This fall will be SAM’s 20th anniversary as an official student chapter! From the Winter 1996 Mid-Atlantic Archivist: MD The Student Archivists at Maryland became an official Society of Ameri- can Archivists Student Chapter at the awards ceremony held at the fall meeting of the Society of American Archivists in Washington D.C., August 25-September 3, 1995. Following the election of Jodi Bunnell and Heather Moore as president and secretary/treasurer, respectively, the group organized repository tours at the National Public Broadcasting Ar- chives, The George Meany Memorial Archives, and the Motion Picture Di- vision of NARA. Ongoing activities in- clude the organization of a student- oriented session at the MARAC spring meeting in College Park, designing a world web page, and a book sale fundraiser.
