Amgen’s Digital Integration and Predictive Technologies organization is a
global process development function that develops and deploys advanced
computational and predictive technologies to reduce process development
cycle time and costs, improve process understanding and optimize processes
proactively.
Director of Process Development (29440BR)
This is a leadership position within Amgen Process Development
organization. The candidate will be responsible for leading a group of
scientists and engineers in Amgen’s Digital Integration and Predictive
Technologies (DIPT) organization. The Director Process Development will
manage a team of engineers and scientists developing and deploying first
principles mathematical models and computer simulations for development
and manufacturing of bio/pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices.
Advanced modeling and simulation team provides technical support,
analyses, and assessments for a broad base of clients globally in Process
Development and in Manufacturing. This role will oversee the activities of
his/her team in a wide variety of challenging problems across many
organizations including: drug substance, drug product, and drug delivery
devices.
Principal Engineer (29443BR)
We are seeking a senior level team member to provide technical support,
analyses, and assessments for a broad base of clients globally in Process
Development in particular by leveraging expertise in first principles
modeling and computer simulation for production of bio-therapeutics. The
principal engineer will address a wide variety of challenging problems
across many organizations including: drug substance, drug product and drug
delivery devices. It is also expected that principal engineer will keep
abreast of industry trends and benchmark in the area of modeling for
technology advances and regulatory environment space. Responsibilities
will include preparation of internally reviewed technical reports as well
as participation in and presentation of results at department and project
meetings with minimal guidance. The Principal engineer will also manage
senior engineers, oversee tactical execution and interface with key
experts in client base. It is expected that use of developed models and
their underlying technical basis be taught to the broader engineering and
scientist community responsible for delivering processes to operations.
