The Research Assistant will perform functions related to the study of various aspects of traumatic brain injury. Ideal candidates possess a bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s degree in biology or biochemistry, AND/OR mathematics/computer sciences. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and have hands-on experience in a biology or biochemistry laboratory AND/OR Bioinformatics and systems biology level of data analysis and interpretation. Practical knowledge of basic protein extraction and antibody-based detection techniques, such as Western blotting, ELISA as well as familiarity with Excel-based programs is preferred. Individuals with background in mathematics/computer sciences should have at the minimum the programming skills in C/C++, Matlab, Java, Mathematica.
