Subject: job opening Description: Job Description We are seeking qualified and highly motivated individuals to join our laboratory as Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will perform functions related to the study of various aspects of traumatic brain injury. Ideal candidates possess a bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s degree in biology or biochemistry, AND/OR mathematics/computer sciences. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and have hands-on experience in a biology or biochemistry laboratory AND/OR Bioinformatics and systems biology level of data analysis and interpretation. Practical knowledge of basic protein extraction and antibody-based detection techniques, such as Western blotting, ELISA as well as familiarity with Excel-based programs is preferred. Individuals with background in mathematics/computer sciences should have at the minimum the programming skills in C/C++, Matlab, Java, Mathematica.
