The ALA Student Chapter, with generous support from the iSchool Alumni Chapter, is providing 5 scholarships for current iSchool students to participate in the American Library Association's National Library Legislative Day May 2-3, 2016.
National Library Legislative Day is a national event in which information professionals from all over the country come to Washington, DC to attend a training about what to expect during advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill, a briefing on the hot issues affecting libraries, a Congressional Reception which will be attended by Members of Congress and their staff, and finally meet with legislators to discuss issues affecting the information field.
This is a great opportunity to learn about policy issues that affect information organization
