Subject: Judges Needed for College Park Academy's Sustainability Fair Description: During the month of June at the College Park Academy (CPA), we are engaging our students in a hands-on sustainability project, and we need YOUR help! CPA is challenging our students to be real environmental leaders by creating a month long program where each grade is assigned a global issue: 6th grade - energy use, 7th grade - water use and pollution, 8th grade - waste, and 9th grade - air pollution. Students will not only research the impact of this topic on the environment, but they are challenged to develop a CPA initiative to address that issue, including a detailed budget and implementation plan. We need judges to review student proposals and attend the Sustainability Fair hosted at CPA on Monday, June 13th and Tuesday, June 14th from 9:30am-12:00pm. Using a rubric that we've devised, you will consult with the other judges to select the best project from each grade level. If you are interested in helping at CPA, please fill out the online volunteer form.
