Dear member of the Process Safety and Big Data communities:
We are pleased to announce a conference devoted to Process Safety and Big Data. This conference is jointly sponsored by the Center for Chemical Process Safety [CCPS] and European
Process Safety Center [EPSC], meeting in Frankfurt am Main, Germany from October 5-6, 2016. Big Data in relation to Process Safety is an important emerging subject that can deliver exceptional value to our key stakeholders. We invite both Process Safety and
Big Data practitioners to submit abstracts by June 30, 2016, for this unique conference.
This event will serve as a common platform that brings together our key stakeholders - industry, academia, governmental regulatory agencies and labor organizations, to lead the
way in improving industrial process safety and achieving process safety excellence.
Submitted abstracts should be relevant to the areas below:
-
Latest concepts and models of Big Data
-
Big Data in Action – demonstrate how Big Data has been successfully applied outside of Process Safety (including aviation industry) as an aspirational model conveying the utility of the concept
-
Big Data, what is it and why it is important for the Process Industry?
-
Big Data applications for Stable Operations
-
Big Data application to Process Optimization or Improving Plant Reliability and Integrity
-
Big Data application to Leading and Lagging Metrics and improving Process Safety Performance
-
Hazard Risk Assessment and Audit Improvements using Big Data
-
Improving the investigation of process safety incidents using Big Data
-
Preventing Human Error in Process Safety by implementing Big Data Sources
-
Combining data (not only 'big' data) from different 'silos' for the purpose of predictive indicators of Process Safety and Plant Reliability
-
Using data from Distributed Control Systems, Maintenance, Inspections, Small Incidents, etc. to promote process safety and operating excellence
Please submit your abstract to
